Content Strategy Blueprint

Choose a simple content rhythm that fits your energy and audience — the decisions you make once, so every post afterward gets easier.

Why this matters

Do you only post when inspiration strikes, then disappear for two weeks? A content strategy isn't about posting every single day — it's about choosing a rhythm you can actually sustain, so showing up doesn't depend on how you're feeling that morning. These four decisions, made once, are what make the difference:

  • Rhythm — how often you'll actually post, not how often you wish you could
  • Pillars — 2-3 recurring themes, not a different idea every time
  • Hooks — the first line that decides if anyone reads the rest
  • CTA — the one thing you actually want them to do next

How to use this guide

  1. 1

Read through all four pieces below first.

  2. 2

    Open the free worksheet.

  3. 3

Write your rhythm and pillars down — just a number and 2-3 words.

  4. 4

Keep the hook and CTA prompts nearby for the next few posts you write.

Tap each one to open it — start with the one that sounds most like you.

Pillar 1

Rhythm

how often you'll actually post — not how often you wish you could

Most content plans fail because they're built for an aspirational version of you with unlimited time, not the actual you with a business to run. Pick a number you can hit every single week, even on a bad week — 2 is better than a plan for 5 that collapses by week two.

Score 1

You aim to post daily, manage it for 4 days, then disappear for two weeks feeling guilty.

Score 5

You've picked a realistic number — even just 2 posts a week — and you hit it consistently, week after week.

Try this: Look at the last 4 weeks. Count your actual average posts per week. That number, not your goal, is your honest starting rhythm.

Pillar 2

Pillars

2-3 recurring themes, not a different idea every time

Without pillars, every post starts from a blank page — that's exhausting, and it's why you run out of ideas. With 2-3 fixed themes that matter to your specific business, you already know roughly what today's post is about before you even open the app.

Score 1

Every post is a completely different idea, thought up from scratch, right before you post it.

Score 5

You have 2-3 fixed themes you can name without thinking — you just rotate through them.

Try this: Write down the 2-3 topics people actually ask you about most. Those are your real pillars — not the ones you think you should have.

Pillar 3

Hooks

the first line that decides if anyone reads the rest

People decide whether to keep reading in the first line — sometimes the first three words. A caption that opens with your business name or a generic greeting gets scrolled past before it's even read.

Score 1

Your captions open with your business name, a greeting, or a generic line no one stops for.

Score 5

Your first line is a question, a bold statement, or something specific enough to make someone pause mid-scroll.

Try this: Look at your last 5 captions. Cover everything except the first line. Would that line alone make you stop scrolling?

Pillar 4

CTA

the one thing you actually want them to do next

A post with no clear ask leaves the decision entirely up to the reader, and most people won't decide anything — they'll just scroll on. One clear, simple ask does more than five vague ones.

Score 1

Your captions end without asking for anything, or ask for five different things at once.

Score 5

Every post ends with exactly one clear ask — comment, DM, save, or visit the link — never more than one.

Try this: Rewrite your last caption's ending with just one ask, in one sentence.

How the worksheet works

  • Pick your rhythm first — everything else is easier once that's realistic.
  • Write your 2-3 pillars down somewhere you'll actually see them every week.
  • Before you post, check: does this have a real hook, and exactly one clear CTA?
